Programs and Projects

Away from the resort areas, neighbourhoods, called Colonias, are impoverished. Many people work in the tourist industry making minimum wages of $8.00 per day. Homes are  makeshift, most roads are not paved, many homes do not have water or electricity.

People are often hungry and have no access to health care or other social services.

Compassionet Impact Development Canada has been working in the same neighbourhoods for more than ten years. With donations and volunteers we work with the people of the area to build hope and improve their lives.
